Accredited domestic energy assessment — from £60.
Domestic EPC assessments for existing homes in Reading, Berkshire. We visit from our Slough base and record the construction, heating, hot water, lighting and available insulation evidence. For properties around Caversham, Tilehurst, Earley, send the postcode and access details so we can confirm availability. The certificate's rating and recommendations depend on the individual home.
A legally required certificate rating the energy efficiency of your property. Valid for 10 years. Lodged on the official register the same day.
Reading has one of the highest concentrations of professional renters in the Thames Valley, driven by the University of Reading and the big tech employers along the M4 (Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco). Earley and Lower Earley (RG6) are dense with student HMO conversions — we do block inventory and PAT rounds for several portfolio landlords here every academic year.
Central Reading (RG1) and Caversham (RG4) skew toward professional flats and conversions where listing quality drives achieved rent. Tilehurst (RG30/RG31) is family-let territory where EPC improvements (insulation top-ups, modern boiler swaps) often shift a D into a C.
Reading's tech-led rental demand keeps voids low. PAT testing and licensing-ready inventories are in steady demand across RG1, RG2 and RG6.
Before marketing a home in Reading, check the official EPC register for an existing certificate and review the current GOV.UK requirements and exemptions. A proposed future standard should not be treated as a rule already in force.

Prices start from £60. Property size and selected services change the total. Out-of-hours appointments add 25% outside Monday–Friday 9am–6pm, including weekends. A floor plan with an EPC is a £25 add-on. Choose your property details in the booking form to see the agreed total before confirming.
Reading is approximately 18 miles from our Slough base, within our usual 50-mile coverage. Contact us with the exact postcode, access arrangements and preferred date to confirm availability. Allow around 30–60 minutes for a typical home. Tell us your deadline when booking so we can confirm the visit and delivery arrangements. Do not rely on an unconfirmed appointment or delivery deadline.
An Energy Performance Certificate lodged on the official register, with an energy rating and recommended improvements. Domestic EPC by accredited assessor. Same-day lodgement to the EPC register. Final certificate release requires full payment and a manual release after assessment; confirm your delivery deadline when booking.
An EPC is valid for 10 years. Check the official Find an energy certificate service before booking, because a valid certificate may already be available to download free of charge. If it has expired or the home needs reassessment, contact us with the postcode. The rating depends on the property and the evidence available during assessment.

Daljit is great, very knowledgeable, helpful and professional. He did my EPC, inventory check in, and PAT testing last year. It was my first time renting out my property and he gave me some great advice. He’s just completed this years PAT testing again. And I’m very happy. Thank you very much indeed!
